bobk88 on "[Theme: Coraline] Custom menu breaks pop-up menus on iPad"

I would like to make a menu item have three sub-items which are all clickable links to pages, while the top item itself is not clickable (because it's a page category only).

To do this, I created a custom menu in the Dashboard. For the top menu item, I created a custom link which had a label but no URL, and added it to the list of menu items. Then I dragged the three pages under it so they became sub-items.

This works fine on my desktop computer - hover over the top menu item, and the sub-menus pop up.

However, on the iPad, when you tap on this top menu item, nothing happens.

When I use the default menu, the pop-up menus do work on the iPad - but then I have to have a page for the top item in the menu.

Is there another way I can make it so that the top menu item is not a clickable link, but still lets me access the sub-menus on the iPad?

Thanks in advance.

Bob
