Marcus on "[Plugin: Events Manager] category trouble, wp_em_categories, wp_terms"

will look into the deleting issue (might be a bug), but the wp_em_categories table is only used in multisite installations when in global mode (added in b3 as you say). Shouldn't affect normal blogs (and probably isn't synced witht hem either)
